Computer Repair Reality Check

One customer recently said, "I consider my computer to be a piece of equipment. I leave it alone and it should just work."
Unfortunately, in this day and age, that isn't possible.
Computer programs operate in an "environment" that is, in a way, holistic.
Installing one program can have a negative effect on other programs that are already installed.
Also, the bad guys out there are constantly striving to find a way to damage your computer. Yeah, go figure!
As such, you should be updating your computer and antivirus/antispyware software regularly, which also leads to possible instability. If you're on a high speed internet connection you're dramatically more at risk.
The bottom line is that your computer, just like your car, needs to be maintained and serviced regularly.
